Alexandre Marreiros
Marreiros is an architect and artist, studied arts and holds a Master in architecture from the Faculty of Architecture and Arts of the Lisbon Lusíada University.
Not consider himself a photographer, but rather a “memories collector” by nature, whether through drawing, painting, or other means of recording or capturing particular images and memories, is in photography that finds the essential support in this almost obsessive need to record, to freeze a certain moment, space and time.
Looking at photography not as an extension of his work, but as an integral part of the creative process, and in some projects the basis on which he develops his artistic work. Time moved him away from film photography, but his family album is uniquely and exclusively composed of hundreds of Polaroids.
Believing that photography itself is a storyteller in a universal language, where everyone can read and write.
Showcased his work in 9 individual exhibitions and more than 30 collectives, both in Portugal and Macau.
Lives and works in Macau.
