In partnership with the Halftone association and in close articulation with the movement “The Photobook Club” https://photobookclub.org created in 2009 by Matt Johnston, Photobook Club Macau will seek to tread its path “autonomously and in complementarity ” not only with the parent project, but also with Halftone. "Above all, it is part of Halftone's strategy and is a project that aims to promote photography books about Macau or by Macau authors, bringing together enthusiasts for photobooks and photography", explained the mentor and promoter of the project in the territory, who also photographer Francisco Ricarte.

The official Facebook page of Photobook Club Macau has already been created (https://www.facebook.com/Photobook-Club-Macau) “aimed at disseminating among potential interested parties, the initiatives that will be carried out”

For the first session, the choice fell on António Leong, also known as Antonius Photoscript. The Macanese recently released his latest photography book entitled “Daily Impermanence”. “António's choice came very naturally. His book is very good, very interesting, with very specific language. Afterwards, there was always interest on our part that a photographer not be chosen in the Halftone universe. This was essential”, said Ricarte, revealing that the challenge was soon accepted by Leong, who “expressed an immediate desire to participate”.
