Photography became a hobby for José at an early age, when he got a Kodak Brownie as a birthday gift from his father.
He was engaged in photographic projects in the 1980s and some of his photos were published to illustrate books and articles on Macau’s monuments and heritage.
He shots in Color and B&W, using 35mm and medium format cameras, including a much bellowed Rolleiflex (6X6), as well as the inevitable smartphone.
His interest lies mainly in street and urban photography as well as travel memos.
